Gaurav Saini

Impact: Gaurav graduated from our Google Summer of Code program in 2014 and remained one of our most active and loyal community members. He has played a crucial role in the evolution and development of our web user interface. Gaurav is a regular on our mailing lists and gladly broadcasts the Mifos message all across the world.

Whenever a community member requires assistance, Gaurav is always eager to help provide support. Gaurav’s list of contributions made to the Mifos community is unmatched and we are very lucky to have an individual so involved in our mission.

Gaurav is a proud supported of open source technologies who loves to work on javascript technologies. He is currently working on VOIP applications, Cloud telephony, and IoT projects. He began his Mifos days as a presenter at TechDays in Amsterdam and seems to have touched every aspect of the community from mentoring Google Summer of Code projects to extending our Mifos X web application.

Some of Gaurav’s skills include Javascript, angularJs, nodejs, Java, ionic and IOT. He has spread the Mifos Initiative’s mission across the world and we cannot thank him enough for joining us in the fight for financial inclusion.

I feel community is already quite active and helping, just want to see more local events and participation by community members.

I hope to have everyone have access to banking and poor people should have equal access to banking opportunities.

UI enhancement in angular based Community Application as part of 2014 GSOC. Mentored GCI multiple times, mentored outreachy students. Org admin and mentor in 2016 GSOC on adding PWA support to Community Application with a student. Also, went as a speaker to the Mifos summit in Sharjah and Techdays in Amsterdam.
